to whoever stumbled upon this page,
its been a long while, and looking back, what a journey it has been. i've been a role-player in many various games for as long as i can remember. over the years, this specific persona that i've created has grown into something bigger and beyond expectations, when it was initially meant to be just a "for fun", stupid, expendable, experimental account/character/mule/toon. as its original owner/founder, i've been thinking recently about the spoils of war Etakon has accumulated over the years. hence, i feel the need that now would be a good time to do a recap after 6 long years since this avatar's advent (wow, its been that long already?) it has truly come a long way and i hope Etakon will continue to be able to forge his destiny, build his legacy, and spiral upwards for many more years to come. who knows, maybe even get featured, and made popular, in a film, anime, tv series, or a permanent game npc, that would be its best reward. :P

humble beginnings :) ended up pretty high ranked before @soft shut down its servers, cant remember what rank tho. appointed guild leader of CrucifiedIV (4th branch). its personally my favourite moba of all time, its a real pity. forums got wiped too.

didnt play much for both (mostly cuz it was boring), but i was super active on both the guilds and the official game forums. was in an exclusive guild, Addicts, in dragonica. made a presence in the community, outside of the games :p

played this since closed beta, back when everyone was bashing this game "dota clone, dota ripoff, dota noob game, hon owns this, blah blah, etc". now its the most popular and played moba in the universe, as of the past few years anyway. i knew it had the potential, but i retired before it got too mainstream. i sold my max level account which had some limited edition skins, and made some quick $$. probably not going back anymore.

NidoMS - iEtakon (max hp wash hero) (servers closed)
ah, maplestory private server. it was the most popular one back then, entertaining too. constantly had 2k players online. then 1 day, it received a cease & desist from nexon and shut down for good. never took a private server seriously from that day onward.
2011 Q3-2013 Q3 2yr
APB Reloaded - Etakon (R235 criminal. Colby NA West)
a 1 of its kind game. never stood by a mmo game for so long since LoL. customization was in a different league. it was a very rough game for newbies but once u get the hang of it, it all comes naturally. was definitely a survival of the fittest there, it still is. the game went through several revamps; i finished as gold5 before they changed the threat system, and was maxed rank on the latest update before i quit (R235). hopped around several clans, was in Engima, top criminal clan for a period. sure the game had some problems but it was still entertaining to an extent. the final straw came when g1, the game publishers, cheated me of my g1credits (cash) from an event. they changed the rules during the event several times. it was utterly disgusting. fairly certain that chased away a portion of its already dwindling playerbase, including me. after being banned twice throughout the 2 years (being well-known has its demerits), and lifted of cuz, i called it quits. its a pity but definitely wouldnt say it was time wasted since i made several hundred bucks off it; the most out of all the games in this timeline ;D also, i will never revisit any of the cheating g1's catalog of games.
2011-2014+

got myself a bunch of paid games for free, 0 to 60+, from trading and giveaways started from apb.
accumulated over 100+ reps/vouches from different platforms. made some quick buck too.
2012 may-june
D3 - Etakon
i know this isnt is f2p game, but i used the funds i got from previous games to purchase this, for free, technically. got to a lvl 60 demon hunter, realized the game itself fell way below expectations, and cashed out before it got worse.
2013-2014+
MapleSEA - Etakon
this is also the reason why i quit apb, i found a new home here lol. this isnt exactly the best game to play but there wasnt anything else remotely holding my interest. in fact, it has many flaws, and being held by the publisher @soft, which also closed down many games that werent profiting, its like the worst region/version of maple. definitely p2w as well. however, it was interesting to mingle with the community and see where it all goes. i also have a lot more fun outdoing the crap out of paying players; being unfunded, 0 cash myself (though im not the best in this category yet). made some quick buck and cash items here as well, and thats pretty rewarding in itself.

these two arent out yet, but im surely keeping an eye on it. hopefully it manages to take some time out of maplesea. kuf2 will probably come first. eqn is the next big thing in f2p mmo, im sure.
and that sums it up. in between the timeline were several more games but Etakon didnt stay there for long (< 1-2 weeks) to be worth mentioning. till next time ;0
